My passion for aerospace technology has led me to explore the boundaries between aviation and space. As an engineer and physicist with doctoral training, I've dedicated my career to develop technological solutions that enhance our Earth observation capabilities and communications.
After more than two decades in the Air Force and the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) leading national and international space programs, I decided to channel my experience toward entrepreneurship with a clear objective: to create disruptive technologies that occupy that fascinating intermediate space between the atmosphere and the cosmos.
Currently, as CEO of SMARTHAPS, I lead the development of stratospheric platforms (HAPS) that revolutionize the way we observe our planet. These "pseudo-satellites" operate at an altitude of 20 km, combining the advantages of satellites and drones while overcoming their limitations: they offer higher resolution than satellites and remain operational for months, unlike conventional drones.
My vision is to make the stratosphere a new environment for applications that benefit society, from surveillance and security to environmental monitoring and precision agriculture.
